An application form for the FREE UK Directory Enquiry Service can be obtained by ringing 195. You will be asked for your PIN number whereon you should ask for a registration application form which when completed will require a copy of your registration certificate or a supporting signature. You will then be issued with a PIN number to quote when making an enquiry and the Operator will connect you if required. This service is available on some mobiles.
The BT 1471 ' to return the call press 3 - there is normally a charge for this service' can be used free by registered 195 customers BUT you must claim the privilage by calling 0800 5870 195
It has been reported that the 195 service from BT is best! But you need a PIN for each service which you are likely to use.
BT Telephone accounts can be supplied in Large print some can also provide the details on disk , by E-mail on audio tape. or on line Just ask.
BT can supply a tape or large print copy of "Update" if you are not in a hurry!
