TVi's or using your TV as a CCTV

are a much less sophisticated version of the more expensive CCTV's. These devices connect to your television using a SCART or video phono plug. You can then change your TV operation from normal to Tvi with the AV button. In one type you then place a small hand held box directly over written text that you want to read, or in another type place the text below a camera mounted on a stand, and a magnified image will appear on the TV. The amount of magnification is often fixed and can only be varied by changing the size of TV set. Some manufacturers improve these basic facilities.
