The Royal Blind Society has now taken over from the Henshaw's Society for the Blind who provide holidays for people who are visually impaired at the Belmont Hotel in Llandudno, North Wales. The hotel, which is open all year round, enjoys a commanding position overlooking the bay and Victorian promenade, and has design features which meet the needs of people with sight difficulties, including a talking lift, staff call system, loop system and wheelchair access. The hotel now boasts an exterior lift to make accessibility even easier.
The Belmont offers both half-board and full-board accommodation, with bar snacks available daily, plus a wide variety of themed mini-breaks from only £60 per person (2002).
There is always something to suit all pockets and tastes. Saturday to Saturday bookings are now accepted for the Main season, along with short breaks to suit the individual.
The hotel has an extending range of holidays, from family weekends and activity holidays to holidays which include social escorts for people who cannot holiday alone.
