The national charity Holiday Care is the UK’s central source of holiday and travel information for disabled people and their carers in the UK, providing clear, accurate information on various aspects Of needs.
Holiday Care has nearly 120 information packs on various holiday and accommodation ideas for people with special needs. These include accessible hotels, self-catering and farm accommodation as well as activity holiday centres and accessible attractions.
There is also a comprehensive database of respite care facilities in the UK where disabled people can stay with or without their carers.
In addition, the unit holds information on accessible venues in over 40 overseas countries, including the USA, Scandinavia and Israel.
Specific information packs on a range of services are also available, including companies advising on escort and companion services and the hiring of equipment.
Group inclusive holiday packs feature tour operators and useful contact lists for both UK and overseas destinations.
